Care Assistants - Penzance

Job Description & Responsibilities

Due to continued growth, we're looking for kind, compassionate, enthusiastic people to join our friendly team of carers.

We offer FULL and PART TIME hours with flexibility to suit you. We do prefer it if you have a driving license.

You will enjoy visiting service users in their own homes to ensure they get the helping hand and care they need to keep them safe and supported at home.

You will be expected to:

• Support our service users in their day to day living
• Help with toileting, washing, dressing, meal times and medication
• Accompanying to appointments, shops, events and days out
• Being a familiar face, making someone feel comfortable and safe in your presence
• Providing companionship and improving lives wherever possible

Requirements

• Ideally previous experience within a care capacity would be ideal but this is NOT essential as  full training is given
• You must be a driver with a valid driving licence, ideally with access to car, though pool cars are available
• Be able to work every other weekend
• Friendly, trustworthy and caring nature
• Able to work shifts of 7am-2pm and 4pm-10pm or one or the other, though flexibility is possible dependent on circumstances and skills
