We understand and strive towards empowering our employees to unlock their potential and develop their ambitions and goals.
You will soon be able to read the personal journeys of some of our team and how we supported them in their goals.
I came to Alexandras as the branch Manager for Falmouth in April 2013. During that time I was asked to help manage the Redruth branch while the Registered Manager took annual leave. In 2014 I took on the exciting opportunity to dual-manage Falmouth and Redruth. I began doing my Level 5 and applied to be Registered Manager.
During my time here at Alexandras I have managed a large enthusiastic team who are passionate in their work. The team have a great friendship outside of work which has been reinforced by the exciting team building opportunities. The team are creative and dynamic and love to raise money for charity. During 2017 we raised £1178.00 for various charities. Late 2018 we started a campaign to raise money for an external defibrillator on our business estate, to which we are over a third way to our target.
I joined Alexandras in April 2012 when the company took over. I started as part of the care team and one of the on-call team until 2013 when I then started one day a week in the office creating the weekly staff rotas. In June 2014 I was promoted to Deputy Manager of the Redruth Branch. I then began my NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care.
In November 2016 I then became the manager of the Truro and Falmouth branches before moving offices in 2018 to our Truro office.
In September 2018 I became the Registered Manager of the Truro branch. Since working with Alexandras I have enjoyed working as part of a team and have gained many professional and life skills.
I joined Alexandras in March 2015 as an Administration apprentice. In 2016 when I completed my apprenticeship I then worked in the office as the Admin and as part of the care team within the community as well as being part of the on-call team.
During 2016 & 2017 I helped other offices out by covering holidays. In 2017 I was promoted to Deputy Manager of the Westcountry Home Care Liskeard branch, acting Manager while the Registered Manager was on maternity leave. During 2018 I have also started my Level 5 In Health and Social Care.
I’ve loved my time working within such a great team across all branches of the company. Great opportunities for progression within a very supportive company.
