Manager Nicola Rowe comments:
My name is Nicola Rowe and I am the Registered Manager for Alexandra’s Community Care, Truro. I first started with the company in 2012 when Alexandra’s took over the company that I worked for. I was a community carer in and around the Redruth/Camborne areas at that time.
I carried out on-call tasks for a period of time and then applied for a deputy manager’s role for the Redruth Branch and was successful. I worked for two years as a Deputy Manager and covered my manager’s maternity leave and enjoyed the extra responsibility. This led me to apply to be the manager for the Truro branch in 2017, I then became the Registered Manager in 2018.
Alexandra’s is a great place for career progression and the company really encourages individuals to work on their professional development.
Alexandra’s offer a wide range of support and to enable you or a loved one to remain in your own homes as independently as possible, we offer as little as 30 minutes per week to several visits daily.
Our carers are all trained to a high standard by our own training manager to enable us to be able to support people with various complex needs. We are located right in the centre of Truro city and will endeavour to provide a caring efficient service. Our team is your team.
"People were supported to have maximum choice and control of their lives and staff supported them in the least restrictive way possible; the policies and systems in the service supported this practice."
Homecare.co.uk review for the Truro team March 2021:
"All staff that I have met have been very polite and helpful. I receive excellent care from thoughtful, forward-thinking and kind girls. Everyone always looks very smart. Attention to detail is good as is communication between staff." View on homecare.co.uk
