Alexandras Community Care - Redruth

Upper Floor Cardrew House, Cardrew Business Park, Redruth, Cornwall, TR15 1SP
Registered Manager: Nicola Rowe

Redruth

The Redruth branch started in 2012 after the team took over a failing business. Siince then it has grown from strength to strength, covering areas in Camborne, Pool, Redruth and surrounding areas.

Like all our offices, our Redruth team has a real family feel, with an average of 40 staff working from this branch alone.

Registered Manager, Nicola Rowe, has recently returned to manage Redruth having started her career with Alexandras in 2012 as a carer.

Nicola progressed through the management levels becoming Deputy Manager of Redruth for 3 years before ultimately becoming manager of Truro.

Having taken a career break, Nicola has now returned to the Reduth team and is fully supported in Redruth by a great team of Team Leaders, Carers and Admin staff.

SUPPORTING STAFF

I joined Alexandra's back in 2015 when my first daughter was only 2 months old.

I decided to have a new start at a hospital using previous skills I had gained many years ago. I then seen an advert for an office admin (maternity cover) in Redruth where I originally started my caring career and decided to apply. I got the job and re-joined as the Redruth office admin!

The job for Deputy Manger then opened up and I applied as thought I would make a good Deputy Manager from the work I had already produced. I found out I got the Deputy Managers job and was over the moon! I'm excited to see what new experiences this job will bring me.

Heidi

Deputy Manager

I’ve been working in the care industry since 2007 and have been part of Alexandra’s since it opened in Redruth.

I started as a Community Carer and worked my way up to team leader, I love my job I still work in the community but also in the office, I love being the first carer in to meet the client. I also like end-of-life care and treating their last moments with the care and respect they deserve.

I organise most of the team building events like tough mud runs to bingo to cater for all our team, it’s nice to see the quieter members coming out of their comfort zones and joining in.

Penny

Team Leader

I've been with the company since March 2015. I did my level 3 with them and became team leader by a fellow colleague putting my name forward in 2020.

I have become to really enjoy the role not only being in the community but seeing how the office is run from day to day. Nothing brightens up your day more, than seeing your clients happy!

Team Leader

I’m very excited for the next step in my career! I started my caring journey with Alexandra’s Redruth 10 years ago and I’m looking forward to many more as a dedicated member of the team and now a team leader! ❤️🥳

Robyn

Team Leader

I worked in care before, my journey with Alexandras began in March 2018, when I started to work as a community carer for the Redruth branch. I chose the job because, I like to bring smiles to people’s faces and know that at the end of the day I made a difference on their life, by keeping them independently and safely in their own home. In 2023 I started to have on call duties, and in August of the same year I became a team leader.
